Ultimate EFA Plus is a proprietary blend of essential fatty acids formulated to support the body in many ways. EFAs have been shown to support healthy coronary function. However, on May 28, 2003, from the Executive Office of the President, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) sent out a press release which urges the HHS and USDA "to revise the nation’s dietary guidelines to include new information that omega-3 fatty acids may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease (CHD), while trans fatty acids may increase the risk of CHD."
